Who runs this site

Blenker Boatworks & Marina, the boatyard and marina at 2504 88th St Ct NW, Bradenton, Florida, runs this website. Where this page says “the yard”, it means Blenker Boatworks & Marina.

What reaches us

A quote request carries whatever you type into it: name, phone, email, the boat's length and type, the service you picked, a message and up to two photos. A phone call carries your number and what you tell the office.

The site itself logs the ordinary things a browser reports: the pages opened, the device and browser, and a rough location worked out from the connection. Once Google Analytics is turned on, Google records those for us. When the yard runs ads, Google Ads and Meta add a click identifier to the visit; the site stores it in a cookie of its own for 90 days so a request can be matched to the ad that brought it in.

What the yard does with it

Your details are used to answer your request and to arrange, bill and keep a record of the work you ask the yard to do.

Visit and ad data show which pages and ads lead to quote requests.

Your details are not sold or rented. They are seen only by the companies that host this site, carry its email and hold its customer list, and only to do those jobs.

Calls and texts

A phone number you give the yard may be used to reach you by phone or text about your own request or your own boat. Text STOP to any message from the yard and the texts end.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits. While ads run, Google Ads and Meta set cookies to measure them. A browser set to refuse cookies still gets the whole site.

Storage and retention

Requests are kept in the yard's customer list, behind passwords and the safeguards of the company that provides it. Records of work on a boat are kept while you remain a customer and for as long afterward as Florida requires a business to keep its books.

Your rights

You can ask what the yard holds about you, have it corrected or removed, or ask the office to stop contacting you. The phone number and email address are on the contact page.

Under 18

This site is for boat owners and the people who look after boats for them. The yard does not knowingly keep information about anyone under 18.

Updates

A revised policy replaces this one on the same page, and the date at the top moves with it.
